I’m mixing it up a little today – well, mixing up prints at least!

I love the look of disbelief on people’s faces when I tell them there’s a sock in my (hair) bun. It’s true – sock buns rock, at least when I can get them to work for me. Which is rare.
Did you know you can connect with me on Facebook? I try to answer any and every question, both there, here and on Twitter. Plus I like it when people like me my blog page. (Yes, I am pathetically soliciting for Facebook likes. They make me happy.)
My newest Marie Claire column on matchy-matchy outfits was posted yesterday – do you like matchy-matchy looks? (And do I say matchy-matchy too much in the post?)
Thanks to Brittany of brittkreigh.com for taking today’s photos!
Linking up at Rolled Up Pretty today! I also linked at The Pleated Poppy earlier in the week.

Love your pattern mixing, and those pink heels are perfect!

I may have gotten two other pairs of those shoes. Oops.
I love the mix of prints here! I would probably not be able to do a sock bun. They look too hard! I just wind my hair up on top of my hair and knot it. Good job on yours!

4 out of 5 times, it doesn’t work for me. When it does, I douse it in hairspray.
Lovely job! I always love your pop of pink, too.
I always include a pop of something (but pink is my favorite)!
Print mixing is a special skill, and I think you’ve got it down!

Why thank you! I think it’s easiest when the colors match.
The stripes and pattern mixing is so cute! Yay for rockin the sock bun.
I just liked your FB page. Have a great weekend!

Thank you so much, Sharon – just liked your page too!
LOVE those pink flats!!
If you live near a J. Crew Outlet, they’re on major sale right now!
so beautiful outfit!!love it!
What a great way to mix patterns m’dear! I love the stripes on gingham! And I have yet to rock the sock bun so kudos for making it look so darn cute! Take care and thanks so much for visting my blog!
You should totally rock it! It took me a lot of practice because I suck at doing my hair but I love wearing it this way.
You look so cute…the pattern mixing is awesome!!
Thanks – I hope to do more “advanced” pattern mixing like you’ve perfected soon!
Kinda obsessed with the Kate Spade gumdrop earrings! They look so great on you!!
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend friend!
XO – Marion
I’m a horrible influence, but you should get them – they’re at a great price! Hope you have a great weekend too!
Perfect print mixing here, girl! Love it
How the heck can you manage a sock bun on your own?! I’ve tried multiple times and I feel like I need at least two other hands to get it done! I love the mix of plaid a stripes and how you managed to sneak in two different pops of color to this look (loved the green earrings and pink flats!)
Ok, so I basically combined two methods – first I tease my hair, then I twist it into the sock. Maybe I need to do a tutorial??
Um YES! I would love it!
Ok then, I have this weekend’s project!
