I considered firing my hair today. Not to be confused with setting it on fire – no, I want a new head of hair, please, one that is naturally smooth and glossy and not frizzy seriously I am over this.

I grew up with stick-straight hair, but as I’ve gotten older, it’s changed slightly. It does this nasty crim thing when I let it air dry (which is what I normally do on the weekends). And because I don’t wash it everyday, it stays in that nasty state until I wash it and style the hell out of it. Hair, what gives? I’m trying to give you a break, but you forced me, the girl with the straightest hair (or so I thought) to get a damn straightener and destroy you into cooperation. There are no good hair days for me anymore. There are decent ones at best.
Does anyone have a product they can recommend for color-treated, mostly straight hair? I just want it to be smooth. And shiny. And perfect. Seriously, make some recommendations and I will buy them, try them out and report back.
Ok, enough about my hair problems. Finally… the winner of my giveaway!
Thank you everyone for entering, thank you Mai of Woodland Belle for agreeing to the giveaway and congrats Kristen! I’ll be contacting you with more information.
Thanks to Brittany of brittkreigh.com for taking today’s photos!

Looking beautiful as always! Love the floral top!!
Aww you are so sweet – thank you!
Have you tried tried a colorless gloss? I got one once and really liked it! Most salons should be able to hook you up. Also, adorable outfit, as always.
Never tried it – I’m researching right now! Which do you use?
love this outfit – so fresh and springy!!!

Thanks Sarah!
YAY! Thank you so much…I’m so excited!
I’m excited for you!
Aww, I’m sorry your hair isn’t behaving. I have naturally wavy hair and to get it straight I use a Matrix blow dry cream, then blow it dry, then straighten it. I’d kill to have naturally straight hair.

HA! You say that now.
Ugh…bad hair days are the worst. I have the opposite problem as you. My hair is crazy curly and out-of-frickin-control. I don’t know if I have any hair products to recommend as I am still searching for good stuff myself. I do love Argan Oil though…might help?
Happy Tuesday!
XO – Marion
I saw you talking about that on your blog last week and plan on buying some soon. I’ll let you know how it turns out!
My hair used to be straight too and is now some combination of wavy, curly, and all around annoying. I can only assume it is masochistic and enjoys being beaten into submission.
I too have come to that conclusion. It must enjoy all the pain/products I inflict upon it daily. Does that make me a sadist?
your hair up is always a beautiful choice for you!
Thank you – but I like to wear it down, or at least have the option.
So glad you’re not going to set your hair on fire, burning hair smell is the worst, haha! I can totally relate to bad hair days, all of high school and most of college was a bad hair day for me. Play around with the suave keratin line, I’ve found that it’s great for nourishing your hair without weighing it down.
Thank you – perfect suggestion! I just wrote it on my Target list.
I have the same problem with my hair. It used to be straight, and therefore I refuse to buy a straightening iron. Plus I can usually straighten it while blow drying… assuming I actually dry it and don’t just throw it up into a bun. But I get weird flyaways/frizz/grossness even with buns/braids/etc., so I need a new product, too. Let us know if you find something that works!
I will let you know what I find out – I plan on a big post all about this soon!
