Have you ever worn a t-shirt to work? I think tees are perfectly acceptable for dressier outfits – if they have some special details. This one has a bubble hem (that I tucked in) and ruffles around the collar and goes as great with pencil skirts as it does with jeans.

Sometimes in the morning I really need a shot of inspiration. I keep all my J. Crew catalogs for moments like that because I love the styling and detailing that goes into every outfit – and bam, there it was, a green dress with a blue belt. Outfit born.

Here in Portugal people don’t dress up for work as much as in other countries, but in both cases I can find many ways to make a tee work! For instance, I really like wearing a tee with a blazer on top!
