It’s supposed to rain today – which this summer has been the biggest joke of the weather forecast. I was all ready to wear suede wedges and then decided against it just in case. Which of course means it won’t didn’t rain.

I bought this skirt a few years ago and love it so much – but unfortunately I think it’s too big for me now. Still, the giant pockets and soft canvas-cotton material and tie in the back may sway me enough to keep it for a little longer. As much of a pack rat as I may be, I actually love getting rid of clothes I don’t wear anymore. And then there are those pieces that are just so perfect, I can’t let them go.

They can never get the forecast right! It rains when it’s supposed to be sunny and vice versa. Your skirt is so cute, I can see why you don’t want to part with it. I’m terrible at getting rid of clothes…I always think one day I’ll want to wear it again

Dressing for rain is freaking impossible and every time I’m prepared it doesn’t rain and then when I’m wearing suede or a white linen sundress I get soaked! I love the pops of yellow you added and your hair and makeup are flawless in these photos.

Adorable flats – I’m seriously obsessed with Talbots shoes, they always have the best stuff! And cute outfit, but I agree that the skirt (maybe even the shirt too?) is a bit big for you – nice problem to have though!
I think the shirt would have worked with a tighter skirt or pants. Oh well – live and learn!
