Whew! I got back yesterday afternoon from a lovely, busy long weekend in Arizona. Besides my beloved Indiana, Arizona is my other favorite state to visit – and we were treated to some of the best weather. I survived my first major hike – barely. Over two miles up and back in four hours. I thought I was going to die.

Last week was typical Indiana (or probably Midwestern) weather – from 25 to 65 back down to 20, with ice, rain, thunderstorms and snow, all in a matter of days. We even had tornadoes a week ago, followed immediately by an inch of snow. No matter what you wear, you will at some point be hot, cold or a combination of both.

End rant about things I cannot control.

As usual, when the Indiana weather makes me mad, I pull out clothes I love – namely these cords and this blouse. If you’re asking yourself if these are the same cords I wore two days ago, the answer is yes. They were $20, and I love the color.

Also, my new Stitchfix blouse? I love it. It’s more of a summer piece, but I couldn’t help styling it for winter.

  1. I adore this combination!

  2. Yay, I missed your face! Loving that top. So cute.

  3. Those are some great cords! I am a big AZ fan as well. I have family there and I love to visit. Except when I was pregnant with my oldest son and visited in July–even for me that was too damn hot! I love your yellow flats as well!
