Sweater, skirt and tights, J. Crew • blouse, Kut from the Kloth via Stitchfix • booties, Target
It’s pattern mixing for Monday’s outfit! I’m envisioning an outfit repeat in the summer with just the blouse and skirt. I love how neutral this blouse is, and how well it works with just about anything!
Also – can we talk about a-line skirts? I’m obsessed with this shape, but there are SO few of them available! I’m partial to my beloved No. 2 skirts from J. Crew, but darn it, I wish there were more a-line skirts available. Anyone found good ones for spring?
And just for fun: an outtake. I call this “Drama Queen: I Have Reached the Point of Hangry.”
Linking up with The Pleated Poppy today!

Check out eShakti.com. Their stuff is usually cut in very flattering, classic shapes like a-line, and you can get the pieces custom made to fit your exact measurements! I love them!
Thanks for the tip!
Ha, I love the last picture. And I second Katy, there are lots of a-line found at eshakti! In fact, I just received one from them that will be on my blog next week!
I will have to try them!
I love the mix of stripes and spots!

The Other Side of Gray
Gray might be boring sometimes but I actually really love this color!
You killed it with this one! What an awesome outfit! And yes, I need a nice A-line skirt, too! I’ll have to check out that J. Crew one. I always hold out hope that a pencil skirt is going to look good on me but after trying on about 20 in the last year, I think it’s time to give it up…my hips and butt are just unproportionately HUGE! A-line works way better.
It’s actually an old one from last year’s summer line. I hope they come out with more this year but so far I’ve been disappointed.
I love you in grey! It’s such a soft and pretty color and looks so good on you! Also love the pattern play. It’s my favorite trend, forever and always.
Thank you for promoting the word, “hangry.” I feel it a lot

Haha, no prob. It might be my favorite word.
LOL Love that last photo! I love a-line skirts too–they are so universally flattering. Great pattern mixing here!
I seriously need to get more for spring!
Really love this monochromatic look, Catherine!
I hope you’ll keep an eye out on my blog later today. I’ll be featuring this as one of the looks I love today.

Thank you for saying so! I was a little worried about this outfit for some reason. I hate being my own worst critic!
I can never find the right pieces to combine stripes and polka dots in my wardrobe, but I LOVE when other people do it. This look is so cute–and the all-over grey keeps it classic!
Your polka dot top is SO cute on you – you look amazing in gray I must say! And that skirt – I loveee striped skirt/dresseslike that lately.
