Sweater, BB Dakota (on sale!) • belt and skirt, Talbots • tights, Target • boots, Shoemint

I don’t expect to love my outfit every day. Sure, I try and pick out something that I like, something that makes me feel happy. But every now and then I have those magical days where I LOVE my outfit. I love how it makes me feel, I love how it looks and I am just so happy all day. Today’s outfit is one of those. I found a totally different way to wear this sweater, and I think it belts perfectly. Belting sweaters can be tricky for me; in this case, the secret was to use a wider belt (I usually go with skinny ones). Don’t you just love a good outfit?!

My ONLY issue with this outfit – the skirt! I normally have great luck with Talbots clothes in general and ordered this wool pencil skirt on sale last month. Talbots has changed their design of wool pencil skirts for the worst – the skirt doesn’t have a lining and kept riding up all day. I hope my coworkers enjoyed the extra show of legs they got today.  Yikes.

  1. I love the pencil skirt, but I feel your pain! I hate skirts that don’t have a lining. I usually throw on a slip underneath.

  7. Love your outfit too!! SO true, the sweater belts perfectly and that belt is the perfect width! I have a problem with belting sweaters too…big boobs and hourglass shape so I feel your pain ;) You look amazing though!

  8. Love the sweater with the belt! Great with the pencil skirt!

  9. i love that sweater on you and putting the belt on is a great addition!!

  10. Yay for outfits that look and feel amazing! I love how you belted this sweater, it looks great and I love that you can see the whole pattern. Bummer about your pencil skirt, I HATE when skirts are unlined and you have to spend the whole day pulling it down.

  11. Aw that would be kind of a pain to have a wool skirt that wasn’t lined! It looks great though and I love that you belted this sweater! There is nothing better than having an outfit that makes you feel as good as you look all day!

  14. I LOVE that sweater – I’m a big fan of tribal prints. I’ve had skirts and dresses that ride up with tights – so annoying! But I do like that bold red paired with the neutrals. :)
