outfit of the day: spring colors

Spring colors in winter - pink and green

Spring colors in winter - pink and green

Gap sweater • scarf from Cactus Flower in Bloomington • J. Crew No. 2 pencil skirt • Target tights • Sam Edelman Petty boots

Can it be spring please?

My face hurts from the cold every morning I walk out the door. I almost fell on black ice three times this week. I want to burn my tights. And yet we are getting three more inches of snow (at least) tomorrow. Alas, the only way to have spring is through bright colors in my outfits – which is actually fine with me.

And ok, I’m fine with being in cozy clothes for a little bit longer. If only it can stay above freezing.

  1. We’re in a winter weather advisory right now so I feel you! It’s funny, it was actually 49 degrees today. Women were wear skirts and dresses without tights! Like it really WAS spring. But compared to the negative weather I guess it certainly felt like it!
    I love your neon sweater.

  4. I’m still in a crummy, wear-all-black-all-the-time sartorial mood, so I’m glad there are ladies like you spicing up the world with some color! You always do pink so well :)

  5. I recently wore a very similar outfit only I had pink on the bottom and green on top. It ended up being one of my favorite outfits of January! So, yes, color when it’s miserable outside is important.

  6. You manage to look spring-y and warm at the same time!

I’ve nominated you for a liebster award! I hope you will come check it out :)
